Nick Wilson | 92.3 The Fan
Sports fan, media member, shaman, husky lothario (in his single days) and “too smart to be screwing around like this.” All of these terms have been used to describe announcer Nick Wilson by friends, family, former teachers and poets.
Nick Wilson is a second generation radio lifer. As a young man, he used to join his father, Big Jim Wilson’s radio show on WRRO in Warren, Ohio to talk sports.
His own radio career began in Akron, Ohio as a part-time production assistant and local business reporter at Rubber City Radio. After nearly two years at RCRG, he moved to a full-time gig as production director in Lansing, Michigan for a year. In September of 2012, Nick came home as the first new hire of 92.3 the fan as an announcer/producer. Moving to 92.3 The Fan allowed Nick to achieve his dream of being part of a sports talk station.
A native Ohioan, Nick has lived all over the state but calls Medina County home. He is a die-hard Indians, Browns, Cavs and Bluejackets fan. He has been married since 2011 and lives with his beautiful wife Vanessa and three young daughters live in Lodi. Outside of Sports, Nick’s interests are his family, video games, great beer, anything to do with Bowling Green including pizza joints (Myles and Pisanellos…life changing), working outdoors and reading historical biographies.
