Century-Old Baseball Cards Found In Attic Fetch Over Half A Million Dollars

The 37 baseball cards featuring the likes of Hall of Famers Ty Cobb, Cy Young and Honus Wagner fetched a combined $566,132 in brisk online and live bidding. They were expected to bring about $500,000.

Rare Baseball Card Collection Found In Attic Could Fetch Millions

Karl Kissner picked up a soot-covered cardboard box that had been under a wooden dollhouse in his grandfather’s attic. Taking a look inside, he saw baseball cards bundled in twine. They were smaller than the ones he was used to seeing.
