Family-owned Mamma Santa’s offers homemade Sicilian cooking, including some of the best pizza in Cleveland. It has been rated No. 1 in an AOL readers’ poll and won other recognition, including the 2007 Best Cheap Eats Award, Best Italian Food Award and Best Pizza Award by CitySearch Cleveland. The restaurant and pizzeria is located in Cleveland’s Little Italy. Its features include its old-world décor, cheap wine and inexpensive pizzas. Mamma Santa’s is popular with students at close-by Case Western University. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Geraci’s has been featured on the Food Network show “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.” That has drawn people from as far as Toronto to check out the family-owned restaurant that has thrived under the same owners for more than 50 years. Fans praise the crust and homemade sauce, as well as the hearty slices of pepperoni. Its friendly service also gets high points. But it doesn’t take credit cards, meaning patrons better make sure to have enough cash on hand.
