May 5^th is a significant day in Mexican history, but it’s celebration reaches all the way through the northern borders of the United States. Better known as Cinco de Mayo, this day marks the Mexican militia’s 1862 victory over the French army at the Battle of Puebla. But it also translates to a huge celebration that people of all backgrounds and ethnicities join in throughout Northeast Ohio. Bars and restaurants across the city will be joining the party. On a holiday designated for the Mexican tradition, you don’t have to look much further than Tequila Ranch if you are looking for a place to party the night away—the name says it all. Located in the Warehouse District downtown, this club is packed to the gill every weekend as thousands of people flood West 6^th Street ready for a good time. On special holidays such as Cinco De Mayo, it doesn’t matter if it’s a weekend or a Monday night, Tequila Ranch will have the party hopping with a line at the door. With two floors, each holding a full service bar, there is plenty of space to explore the festivities. The wide selection of tequila makes this club the perfect location for a Mexican fiesta. And with Cinco de Mayo specials added to their regular selection, you will be sure to get a taste of Mexico. If you’re looking to escape the craziness that will fill the Warehouse District, but still want to be part of the party, this is the place for you. Zocalo’s offers the largest selection of tequila and Mexican beer in the city. The bright colors and decorations of traditional Mexican décor and incredibly friendly hospitality will take you south of the border without ever leaving Cleveland. If the weather decides to cooperate and Cinco de Mayo is blessed with warm temperatures and sunshine, the front wall will disappear opening up into the patio and extending the party into the street.
