Cleveland’s iconic tour vehicle, “Lolly the Trolley,” is a red and green passenger coach that resembles the trolleys of San Francisco. Lolly is the most popular way to take guided tours around the city. Visitors can take general sightseeing tours, which are guided throughout the entire city, focusing on Cleveland’s most popular destinations. Specialty tours such as the Little Italy tour, University Circle tour and the ethnic markets tour are also available. Tours are available throughout the warmer months. To make reservations for a tour, interested parties should call Lolly the Trolley or visit its website.

Cleveland’s passenger rail system is ideal for out-of-towners who want to visit the city’s most famous sites. The RTA waterfront line visits tourist must-sees such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Cleveland Browns Stadium, The Great Lakes Science Center and Omnimax Theater, The Flats and Tower City. The Rapid Transit also allows visitors to stay in more affordable suburban hotels or near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, where the red line will take them through the west side suburbs of Lakewood and West Park, as well as downtown if they wish. The green and blue lines, which are Rapid lines on the city’s east side, visit neighborhoods like Shaker Square and Larchmere, where many popular restaurants and boutiques are located. Rapid Transit trains run every 15 to 20 minutes from approximately 4 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Cleveland’s waterfront is perhaps the city’s most attractive lure, and the Goodtime III, a three-story public sightseeing ship, is the perfect way to take in the views of the city’s skyline during the warmer months. Each tour provides ample photo opportunities of Cleveland landmarks and coastlines, making a trip to the birthplace of rock and roll very memorable. The Goodtime III’s cruise schedule varies, but potential patrons can visit the company’s website for a listing of upcoming cruises and to make reservations.
