On the September 29, 2013, edition of Cleveland Connection we explore the Erie Shore Greyhound Adoption of Ohio. Host Katherine Boyd sits down with Bill South, former President of Erie Shore Greyhound Adoption of Ohio (ESGAO).
This non-profit organization was created in July 2011 to support the placement of retired racing greyhounds as companion pets in homes servicing the greater Cleveland area. ESGAO is comprised of members from Sandusky to Mentor and south to Canton and Mansfield. In the two years of work, they have placed 38 dogs in forever homes.
They’re having an event in Medina on October 20, 2013, where the general public is invited to bring their own dog, be it a greyhound or any other breed to share time with greyhound owners, their pets and to find out about this relaxed and loving breed. Hot Dogs, chips, drinks will be available as well as many vendors. Many items have been donated for the silent auction for which you can place bids on your favorite items. A sandstone engraved patio stone will be raffled off at the end of the event. This is a one-of-a-kind item for which chances can be purchased on site for $5.00.
Location is 3467 Ridge Road in Medina, from 11am-4pm. The event is inside so it’s RAIN OR SHINE.
