Coach Sam Rutigliano came on the air this morning to talk about the Browns 41-20 loss to the Bengals. Coach critiqued the Browns in every facet in yesterday’s game, and put the majority of the blame on the poor special teams play and Jason Campbell throwing the ball over 50 times due to the team’s lack of a running game. Coach talked about the press coverage the Bengals used on the Browns and the lack of adjustment by the players and coaches to recognize the man coverage and outrun the defenders with crossing patterns. Coach talked about how Campbell’s poor game and how he stood in the pocket looking for receivers and was forced to checkdown several times throughout the game, and his “flat ball” which led to batted passes and him missing a wide open Greg Little for a touchdown.
