CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – Johnny Manziel is coming to Cleveland.

Manziel is scheduled to meet with Browns team officials Wednesday and Thursday in Berea sources tell 92.3 The Fan.

The goal of the meeting is to continue to get to know Manziel as well as test his football acumen.

Browns general manager Ray Farmer, head coach Mike Pettine, offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains flew to College Station, Texas and worked Manziel out Saturday morning.

Team officials raised eyebrows around league circles when they chose to skip Manziel’s pro day on March 27 that saw him complete 61 of 64 throws and dazzle coaches and executives while sporting shoulder pads and .

Manziel’s visit is just one of many the team is hosting this week in preparation for next month’s NFL Draft.

Johnny Football isn’t the only quarterback the team is meeting with. Ball State’s Keith Wenning tweeted that he is visiting Cleveland.

The Browns hosted Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater, Alabama’s A.J. McCarron and University of Central Florida’s Blake Bortles on Monday and Tuesday. Fresno State’s Derek Carr and Georgia’s Aaron Murray are also expected in town later this week for a visit.

Eastern Illinois’ Jimmy Garoppolo, Pittsburgh’s Tom Savage, Miami’s Stephen Morris, Ball State’s Keith Wenning and Brock Jensen from North Dakota State have also visited with or worked out for Browns officials.

The Browns are permitted up to 30 pre-draft visits per league rules.
