Join the Greater Ohio Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America for Cleveland Indians Lupus Awareness Night this Friday, May 16th.

From the Lupus Foundation website:

Let’s turn Progressive Field purple! Join us on May 16 for the first-ever Cleveland Indians Lupus Awareness Night! We will be airing a short lupus awareness video during the game, we will be having a booth about lupus inside the stadium, and we encourage everyone to wear purple. The Indians have given us the chance to show Cleveland that we are here and we are fighting; help us make a statement!

On Cleveland Connection, Dave talked with chapter CEO/President Suzanne Tierney about the event, and about her struggle with this challenging and mysterious disease.

In part 2 of the conversation on lupus, Dr. Stanley Ballou from MetroHealth’s Lupus Clinic talks more about the disease, its symptoms, and treatments.

Get more information about Dr. Ballou at MetroHealth’s website.
