6:24-JG and Abe saw “Trainwreck” last night and they share their review of the film. They discuss how the movie was and the acting chops of LeBron and if they would recommend the film to others.
6:44-As the Indians prepare to open the 2nd half of the season, Kiley & Carman discuss the potential they have to make a run in the second half. They also chat about which player they feel needs to most produce more than they have if the team is to improve and make a playoff push.
8:04-Kevin chats with Ken Carman and Jeff Thomas about the athletics situation at the University of Akron. The school is dropping it’s baseball team, and there are now some rumblings that the faculty may want the football team to drop down to the FCS and they discuss the commitment made to sports at the school and how there seems to be a departure from that recently.
8:24-Jake Plata, a former University of Akron Baseball player joins the show and takes a look at the decision from the school to cut the program. He explains the shock upon hearing the school was cutting baseball and if he noticed anything looking back that should have tipped them off to that. He also describes the community push to get baseball reinstated.
8:43-George Van Horne, the Senior Associate Athletic Director at Akron joins the show and corrects some of the statements that have been said about the status of Akron athletics. He also chats about some of the challenges facing Akron is they were to attempt to bring back baseball.
