CLEVELAND (92.3 The Fan) – While other clubs are gearing up for playoff baseball, the Cleveland Indians fell short of expectations — both internally and externally — and instead are preparing for the upcoming off-season.
Manager Terry Francona, while meeting with the media on Tuesday afternoon at Progressive Field, shared his perspective on the upcoming winter and changes that need to be made.
“We’ll be as realistic as we can in our evaluations,” Francona said. “What you don’t want to do is let two months [be all that you evaluate and] all of the sudden say, ‘We just need to play at this pace. That’s not really the way the game goes. We’ll always try to do better.”
