The guys at TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA’ (Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley) got into a heated debate on Thursday night’s show discussing LeBron James’ recent comments about how the team needs a playmaker to win a championship.

Shaq said he believes James should’ve kept things to himself, rather than bring up his complaints to reporters.

“It’s only inappropriate because he went to the media,” O’Neal said. “He should have just gone to Dan Gilbert.

“They just won a championship!” Barkley quipped.

Here we go.

“You know nothing about going back-to-back,” O’Neal said back. “Teams are coming at LeBron’s head. They need more.”

So count Shaq on Team “The Cavs Need A Playmaker.”

Chuck disagrees a little bit.

“He’s the best player in the world,” Barkley argued. “He’s got plenty of help.”

The guys then discussed how the Golden State Warriors and their super team are a big roadblock for the Cavaliers to repeat as champions.

It’s only January. If the drama keeps up, it should make for an interesting last few months of the season.
