If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate the Fourth of July, head to Blossom Music Center for a wonderful show put on by the Cleveland Orchestra. Known as a Northeast Ohio Independence Day tradition, the orchestra plays a mix of Sousa marches, Broadway favorites and Armed Forces salute, and ends with the “1812 Overture.” Fireworks will follow the concert, weather permitting.

The City of Lakewood arranges a Fourth of July parade every year, which begins at Lake Avenue at Kenneth Drive and ends at Lakewood Park. Following the parade, the day will continue with games, food and activities and there will be musical entertainment at the bandstand in the park at 7:00 p.m. This is a great celebration for the entire family; the fun lasts all day, so you can come early and relax at home for the rest of the day or finish your summer celebrations in the park with the rest of the community.

The Nautica Queen is a great place for any celebration, but especially for the Fourth of July. The cruise hosts a special holiday event every year — which has limited availability and fills up quickly, so book soon! — which runs from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. and concludes with a fireworks show from “the best seat in the house.”

The City of Westlake hosts a family-friendly Fourth of July celebration every year, with a parade beginning at the Westlake High School and proceeding to Clague Park. Clague Park is the site for fun activities all day long, including the 27th Annual Classic Car Show, a message from the mayor, foodvendors and a DJ all before the fireworks show, which will begin at dusk (weather permitting, of course).
