13th Annual Park 2 Park Half Marathon & 5K

This half marathon and 5K run is in the beautiful French Creek Reservation, from the Pine Tree Picnic Area to the High Meadows Picnic Area and back. This is a great run for the half marathon runners that are a little wary of the weather earlier in the season and don’t want to risk the heat later in the season. Mid-June weather combined with a scenic route make this a race you should certainly check out!

Dead Zombie 5K Run
Heritage Farms
6050 Riverview Rd.
Peninsula, OH 44264
(330) 657-2330

Date: June 18, 2016 at 4 p.m.

If you haven’t heard of a zombie run before, you’re in for a treat. Participants can register as runners or zombies and either run the course, trying to protect their “life” flags from the walking dead or chase the runners, trying to snag the living’s flags (this ensures no physical contact or risk of injury at the hands of a stranger). Either way you run, this race is so much more than a 5K, with proceeds supporting scientific research for cancer and Alzheimer’s, a DJ, and a wild recovery party after the chase.
