Spring is a most exciting season. It brings warmer weather, which lightens the mood for all of those in the city of Cleveland after a long winter. Not only will this spring bring a change in weather, it also comes with new fashions, events, and art festivals of all kinds. The Cleveland Museum of Art is a must-go destination for art this spring. They will be featuring an exhibit titled British Drawings. This will feature art from the 18th century to the Edwardian period. Some of the artists that will be shown include, William Blake, Thomas Gainsborough and J.M.W. Turner. Some art that will be shown include finished wash drawings and water colors.

The Cleveland International Film Festival will be holding their 37th annual event at Tower City Cinemas this year. This festival is also a fundraiser, and all money made here will go back to the independent film makers who worked so hard this year. There will be more than 200 national and international film makers this year. Tickets can be bought online or at the show. It may be a good idea to become a member, as they get two dollars off their tickets and advance pre-screening to shows. Reservations for this event are on a first come first serve basis.

Some may not know, but the month of May is Asian Pacific Heritage month. That is why the annual Cleveland Asian Festival is held at this time. At this festival there will be authentic Asian food and merchandise to buy. There will be an area designated for children to enjoy arts and activities. In addition to all this there be local and national artists performing. There will also be health screenings and education for those who are interested.

The Hessler Street Fair is a highly anticipated event every year. Conveniently located by Case Western Reserve it is one of the most popular spring festivals. It has been taking place here in Cleveland for the past 43 years. It prides itself on a 60s vibe that attracts people of all ages. There will be music and art which is culturally diverse. This is festival is unique in the fact that the community is really able to be apart of it. This is because from now up until the actual festival day, people in the community are encouraged to come at noon on Sundays and either donate or create paint chairs, banners, and signs. All this art that is created will be featured for all to see in the Hessler Street Fair.

Cuyahoga Community College also known Tri-C will be hosting their annual Jazz Fest this spring. This event grows each year with both performers and attendees. Some artists that will be featured will be Natalie Cole, Dr. John, and Kenny Garett. They will even pay a special tribute to Latin Jazz on May 4. Tickets can be bought online and vary in price depending on the performer.
