When the ring falls down the woman’s finger, the pressure to pick a date for the wedding is already building. The question of what season to have a wedding is one of the biggest questions for newly engaged couples. Do you have a wedding in the winter with the beauty of the snow but dangers of snowy roads? Do you have a wedding in the spring when everything is in bloom but there’s a chance for rain? Do you have a wedding in the summer when everything is in high spirits but the heat might melt the cake? Or, do you wait to have a wedding in the fall when the leaves are colorful, the air is cool and the smell of fall is fragrant. Finding the perfect venue for a fall wedding in Cleveland has never been easier or more inventive.

The Ohio State Reformatory
100 Reformatory Road
Mansfield, OH 44905

The thought of having a wedding in an old prison might turn some away, but one look at the magnificent building and amenities might change some minds. Besides being one of the most haunted places in the area, it was built with beautiful cast iron, mirror effect marble floors and high ceilings, giving the space a roomy and cozy feeling. In the old days, when the prison first opened, the prison was not only holding some of the most horrid criminals but also housed the town’s only church and meeting area. Step outside the box this fall and be married in a place where attendees may not be the only ones in photo pictures.
