Blacklight Slide is a one day special event this summer- so you don’t want to miss it. On Saturday, September 10, a unique UV neon glowing slide will be constructed through the Cuyahoga County Fair to create an unusual summer experience. Glowing sliders will be covered with glow-in-the-dark water in and out of the water. Pre-registration is required. If paid prior to September 9, the cost is $20 for unlimited trips down the slide. After that date, the prices goes to $50. The cost not only includes unlimited slides, but also, attendance to the best “after party” with some of the best DJ music for a night full of dancing and fun. Get tickets early because this event sells out fast. If you miss out, sliders will have to wait a whole year to try again.

On Saturday, August 20, Cleveland’s Bowery Street is transformed from a busy city street to a two-lane water slide with rushing water from side to side for a day of summer fun for all. This event is a great way to spend time with the whole family or a group of friends. It’s been deemed as the areas largest water slides in the area without a steep dip. It’s a huge slip-n-slide for adults and children. The price for a limited number of slides ranges from $25-$45. The price includes three slides, a tube, a mouth guard, a drawstring bag for personal belongings. When purchasing tickets, schedule a 2 hour slide time to ensure sliders get their fun in the sun.

Rain or shine, this indoor tropical paradise offers lush palm trees, warm water, grass huts, lagoons, water coves, but most important water slides. Castaway Bay is a five-story structure with steep ceilings and wide open spaces creating a wonderland of water delight. One of the slides offered is a four-story tube slide with three tunnel slides twisting over each other with rushing water rushing through each for an amazing ride to the bottom. It offers three other water slides of various heights and trajectory offering the same amount of enthusiasm. Along with the water slides, sliders can enjoy a day floating down the lazy river, sunning on the sandy beach, or surfing the wave pool.

Wildwater Kingdom is a water wonderland offering three water slides and a whole lot more for a family adventure.  This water park offers a four-story water slide that allow four sliders to rush down a slide on a three-man person tube, while twisting, turning up and down while rushing quickly for a 60 foot plunge to the end. If not too afraid of heights, climb the 100 foot tower of Ohio’s tallest water slide Cool off while kicking back on the 1,100 foot Riptide Run with an inner tube or stand under the slash landing where 1,000 gallons of water dumps from a large bucket in intervals for a nice refreshing cool-down. Pack a lunch for the family or get something at one of the many eateries offered at the park.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls has joined other the trend as have many other Ohio communities in creating a water park for residents to enjoy. But, Cuyahoga Falls has created a water park unlike any other in the Cleveland area, offering water slides. During the summer months, this community center offers two encased water slides that twist and turn for a race to the end. The county pool also offers a large pool and lazy river for a way to cool off from the summer’s heat. The Water Works Family Aquatic Center offers discounts to residents and special rates for out-of-town guests and visitors.
